Miyamoto ( i mean Koji Kondo) is a THIEF!!!!! [Update 1]





















it seem like a intrepid blogger has uncovered evidence that Nintendo ripped off the theme for Super Mario Bros' underworld theme . check out the site for the full story and to hear the tracks for yourself. for the record, it is really really similar to the Mario bros music, but MUCH more funky.
Koji Kondo is the original composer (thanks, J!!!)

There's no rip. It's three different notes with their octaves. It's a standard riff. Yes, it's the same three notes, yes it's the same beat, but TONS of drum loops/beats are boom chick boom chick, and there is no accusation there.

Shame! In my 1st post I meant to say "similar" not "familiar!" Of course it would be familiar - it's a classic Super Mario theme!!! *lol*

I know they're just notes, but still. The riff sounds THE same.

Coincidence? Who knows. I think it's a cool find. What are the odds of someone finding this song!

Holy Fucking SHIT!!!!!!!

ahem..... Since the last few posts, this blog has gotten swamped, and i fucking LOVE it!!!!!! just today, as of 1a.m., this blog's gotten over 65,000 hits!!!!! you fuckers might as well download the new podcast, and subscribe though itunes!!!! anyways, for anyone who is STILL not satisfied with the quality of the pics: too bad. i don't have anything better to post with, and if you really want to read the whole article, buy the mag. it should be in stores next week, suckers!!!!!! wow. i wonder what would have happened if i had posted the new halo:orion screenshots. [Update] The halo:orion stuff is real. it's in the rumor section, and the mag says that it's supposed to be a Stratagy MMO, and there is another game also in development called Halo: forerunner. i'll post a pic and a new podcast later today.
