i really don't think this is standard fare ( see what i did there? fare, and TRAIN fare?? i'm so clever at 6:00 a.m.!!!!) in Japan, but there's something that bothers me about this video.....call me crazy, but it just doesn't seem very.......safe.

so i've been a lazy bastard as of late, pretty much ignoring this blog and it's millions (AND MILLIONS)of readers. i'm not apologizing for it, but just recognizing the fact publicly is about as far as i'll go. anyways, i've been digging Warhawk on the PS3 this last week, having traded Unreal Tournament in because it's just too fucking twitchy for me. even with a red bull and a large coffee i wasn't able to compete. old age is wearing my reflexes out. so, back to warhawk. it reminds me alot of star wars: battlefront, in that there's a pretty big 32 player game going on with noone speaking and very little communication going on. i didn't even bother using a headset, all i got was silence from the other 15 guys on my team. that being said, the game is still alot of fun, with pretty cool weapons and a awesome sense of scale. i've gotten into a few sniper battles from across the map (and the maps are HUGE) that were pretty tense. i even sn...

so i figured I'd take a few days off to get some perspective and calm down before i got around to making this post. after a week of pretty good stuff happening ( finally making Commander in Call of Duty 4, getting those sweet new maps for Halo 3, getting into Devil May Cry 4 after thinking it was going to suck) i just could NOT wait till June to pick up the Metal Gear Solid 4 PS3 bundle. so after talking it over with my wife (it's strictly for Blu-Ray!!!!) i gathered some old games together and armed with a credit card and about $170 in Gamestop credits, i finally bought a PS3. i also picked up Unreal Tournament because of the badass mods that have sprung up for it lately. what i didn't pick up was a HDMI cable, so i didn't hook it up till the next day. after going through all the PSN network sign up stuff i played a bit of Unreal and quickly decided that it's just as twitchy as i remember it. too twitchy for me. anyway, since i've been hellbent in the l...

after much thought and careful consideration, i've decided to sell my entire videogame collection. yeah, right..... now for the REAL news.... i just bought a PS triple. (for the blu-ray. no, really, for the blu-ray ONLY.) i MIGHT play a game or two on it. maybe. i got Unreal Tournament also. PSN network ID forthcoming......

the super limited gunmetal grey Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots bundle that's been selling like hotcakes in japan has been confirmed to be on the plate come June 12 . i keep telling myself i'm getting it for the Blu-ray player, but MGS is looking good, too......

i gave up on this game. too fucking hard.

i've been out of the country for the last week, so that's why posting has ground to a absolute halt in that time. it's a hell of a thing to see your rss reader tell you you have 1036 unread items. i almost feel like just marking them all read and being done with it. anywho, i did see something that made me jump on over to post it, it's a flash game, but don't let that discourage you. the music is awesome, gameplay is spot on and it's just fucking great. go play now. i think i saw this on joystiq or kotaku , but i could be wrong..... there needs to be more helvetica fonts in videogames.
