i totally missed the big Halo 3 news today. Online co-op for 4 players is huge, and will extend the life of the game to INFINITY!!!! it's been rumored and demanded ever since Halo 2, and not only is it finally here, but it's here with friends!!!!! some details: 4-player co-op via system link or Xbox Live Splitscreen limited to 2 players, but 2 more can be accommodated via system link or Live Co-op is managed in its own lobby, similar to other modes Players can still save films of co-op sessions Bungie will be adding some incentive for multiple play-throughs get bungie's full story and comments on the changes to the campaign here.

so my TV has been playing tricks on me, turning on this morning like normal, and going apeshit as soon as i left to work. it's off now, and I'm starting to think it's playing a game with my head. anyways, i got a BOX FROM NINTENDO on thursday of last week, but for some reason (i forgot) i never opened it till today. inside, it had a Wii backpack and a Wii branded alarm clock. it had a note inside that encouraged me to take the wii out in the backpack and to use the alarm so i didn't oversleep wherever i chose to lay my head. the backpack is neat, and the alarm has a secret power that i didn't discover until i hit two buttons on the side......it scrolls through pictures on a tiny screen, about 1x1 inches. I'll take some pics tomorrow. it was preloaded with some of the Wii party pics and some promo shots of Wii hardware. i double checked, but no Mario Strikers: Charged. oh well, guess i have to buy it to lay the smackdown on J i just have t...

wow, alot has happened since my last post. Ingmar Bergman has died, Lazlo Kovacs has died, my TV has died. yeah, call me materialistic, but out of those 3, my TV hurts the most. I came home from work today and my wife explained how the TV just stopped working. now I've been trying (to no success) to convince my wife that we need a new better at least 50 inch LCD with full 1080p and HDMI ports for a while now, but i NEVER wanted the old TV dead BEFORE the new one was already in the house!!!! talk about getting what you ask for!! anyway, so I'll be down for the count for the next few days (or weeks). aaah shit, i just remembered that BioShock is just around the corner!!! FUCK!!! I just got Resident Evil 4 for the Wii too, but have been too chicken-shit to actually play it past the first village. seems like the Wii controls make me even more nervous. and i can't NOT mention that a regular reader Spanny has gotten a blog do-over and launched his new blo...

there's a library in Mount Prospect near my fair city of Chicago that is hosting a Halo 2 tournament. it's come under fire from the National Institute for Media and Family because it's a M-Rated game, and "it borders on irresponsibility for a public library to sponsor an activity for kids as young as 12 that the industry itself has said is for adults." The library has defended it's decision, noting that the library's teen advisory board, made up of teens and junior high kids, suggested that Halo tournaments would pull more kids into the library since the game is so popular among their age group. Once the library found out Halo 2 was rated "Mature," it decided permission slips were an appropriate method to alert parents. I probably should care about this more than i do, since it's Halo-related. I even considered for a minute going over to Mount Prospect and laying a righteous smackdown on all those middle school kids, but then thought that ...

two of my favorite bloggers have come home again.... Floridan Eckhart and Eliza Gauger , both from Kotaku fame, have landed at Destructoid.com as their newest bloggers. I don't mean to kiss their ass, but they're two of the funniest videogame bloggers i've read in a while. both left Kotaku last year, Eliza to GameLife.com (which sucked ass) and Floridan to god knows where. i've been super busy lately, and just don't have the time to post like normal. (and make choherant sentances also, apparently) but really, it's been hectic, and although there's been a shitload of news in the last 3 days, i'd rather post these videos. 1,500 plus CPDRC inmates of the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center, Cebu, Philippines at practice! This is not the final routine, and definitely not a punishment! just a teaser. (that "chick" is creepy....) Last night, i spent some time with family and did this exact thing to my nephew. although he did make a face, he actually really liked the lime i gave him.

I don't know how my dumbass missed this, but here's a trailer for the new Star Wars game.

So Rockstar just sent over a email pimping it's newest GTA 4 contest. WKKT is a fake radio station in Liberty City, and they're looking for people to vent about what grinds their gears and call a special phone number. The audio will be screened, and the best clips will be used in the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 4 radio station chatter. For the 4 people who've never played GTA , the radio stations are a huge part of why the series has gotten so popular. shit, i even used to rip the audio and burn cd's of the stations in GTA 3. yeah, I'm a nerd. anyways, call the number at 212-360-2368.

so, here's some footage of Killzone for the PS3. I find myself thinking the EXACT same things about this game that i thought about Killzone 2 or 3 years ago. Looks good, like the enemy design, and it seems to be what the PS2 (3) needs. Except for that shitty controller. Killzone was a huge disappointment, considering the hype it received before it's release as a "Halo Killer". what do you guys think???

*added all the video footage* Microsoft just wrapped up it's E3 press event, and boy, did they drop some bombs.....like the Scene It! game, what a turd. but seriously, the Halo 3 footage they showed, and the LIVE ACTION Halo movie footage was great!!!! chest thumping about how they're the number one selling console of this genereation and blah blah blah blah OMG WTF RESIDENT EVIL 5 !!!!!!!!!! the footage they showed looked incredible...... Gears of War is coming to Windows Vista!?!??!!? big fucking deal.... First off, I'd like to say that i REALLY enjoyed the new Transformers movie. I didn't expect to like it, but as summer movie fare, it kicked ass, for reals .... I'm old enough to remember having the original Transformers toys, and one thing bugs the hell out of me. I remember having Megatron , with his skinny-ass folding legs. He could barely stand on them, because it was poorly balanced. I remember his entire body being made of metal, a big difference from all the other Transformers who were made of cheap plastic and chrome. This is what i remember. I have no idea what the fuck THIS is. Seriously, what does he transform INTO???? a flying space turd?? Megatron is a GUN. i know it's not PC to have guns in a PG-13 movie, but dammit, he went from a gun to a generic mecha "thing"!!!!! WEAK!!!!!!!!! anyway, i just wanted to get it off my chest.
